“I Carry You With Me"

We had the honor to shoot this amazing actress, Michelle Gonzalez (@michelle_gzl). The idea for this session was show the natural beauty of her and encourage all the women to wear their natural beauty.

Taking the chance, we had a really interesting chat with her about the new movie where she participate as one of the principals characters. The movie called “I Carry You With Me" or "I take you with me" is a Mexican co-production with the United States that was presented at the Sundance Film Festival.

The film directed by Heidi Ewing - a documentary filmmaker nominated for an Oscar in 2007 for "Jesus Camp" -, took home two awards, one for the Audience Award, and the other for the Innovation Award.

The film features performances by Armando Espitia, Christian Vázquez, Michelle Rodríguez, Michelle Gonzalez and Arcelia Ramírez. The story follows a young aspiring chef in Mexico, Iván (Armando Espitia) who works in a restaurant hoping to secure a place in the kitchen while supporting his son's mother. One night she meets Gerardo (Christian Vázquez), a handsome teacher who, unlike Iván, is an openly gay man. Their chemistry is instantaneous, however, the discovery of their romance causes conflict. Desperate, Iván makes the arduous decision to cross the border to advance his culinary career, promising his little boy and his new love that he will return.
